Type Of Tires Matter

Driving is one of the most dangerous activities that you will participate in each year. There are approximately 1.3 million individuals that die each year on the roads of the United States. There are many more people that are injured. With so many crashes and deaths on the road, it is important that your vehicle is operating at peak performance, so you can be as safe as possible. One part of your vehicle that can add a great deal of safety to your car is the tires you choose to drive on. There is a great deal of engineering and research that goes into the making of new tires. Tires are designed and engineered with a specific purpose in mind. Here are a few different types of tires

Winter Tires

Winter tires may be one of the neatest type of tires on the market. There is a lot of technology and engineering that make these tires good in the icy and snowy conditions. First, the rubber that the tires are made from is soft and will flex under the weight of your car. The rubber is also infused with little microcrystals that are for increased friction on the bad road conditions. Driving with winter tires and then driving with an all weather tire, you may notice the huge difference. While all weather tires are good tires for some bad weather, nothing can replace a good winter tire.

Off-Road Tires

The tires that you take off road will be designed to grip soft sand and dirt. The tread will be wide and deep to grab and through the loose dirt and sand. The wide tread allows for the velocity of the tires to clean the dirt out fro the tires. The rubber is soft and designed specifically for off road conditions. In fact, if you drive your off road tires on asphalt your tires will not last long as the tires are designed specifically for off road conditions.

Summer Tires

Sumer tires are built from some of the hardest rubber that you can find. The rubber is designed to stay very hard, but the outer layer will get a bit sticky when the rubber heats up. The stickiness increases the overall friction of your tires against the road and give you superior traction. The tires are designed to last a very long time.

It is a very good idea to have a few sets of tires in your garage depending on the weather conditions and type of driving that you plan to do.
